My journey began with a deep-rooted passion for both the ancient and modern arts of cosmetic formulation. Inspired by the botanicals in my mother’s garden and the early history of fashion and makeup, I envisioned creating cosmetics that blend ancient and innovative techniques. This vision, driven by my affinity for nature, led me to develop Pure Light Botanical Beauty.

The name itself is a reflection of my personal story. At 20 years old, I revisited my ambitions of creating a holistic beauty brand— while daydreaming about my future, I was inspired by my name, Caitlin, which means 'Pure Light' in its original Irish-Gaelic form. This sense of purity and light embodies the essence of our brand. ‘Botanical Beauty’ signifies our commitment to using the finest botanicals in our products, rooted in the traditions of early civilizations that celebrated the beauty and healing properties of nature.

Pure Light Botanical Beauty was founded with the goal of enhancing and promoting natural beauty through our Nourishing Cosmetics. Our carefully curated botanical ingredients are chosen for their healing, enriching, antioxidant, and anti-aging properties. We are dedicated to a holistic approach, free from fragrances, artificial preservatives, and endocrine-disruptors.

Understanding the environmental impact of the beauty industry, we are committed to sustainability. Our innovative packaging solutions, such as reusable bamboo lipstick tubes and eco-conscious glass containers, help reduce plastic waste by over 70%. By using ethically-sourced and eco-friendly materials, we aim to lessen our footprint and contribute positively to our planet.

At 17 years old, my personal struggle with eczema ignited a quest for healing and knowledge. I had dug deep into the realm of natural healing and began to embark on my own research to heal my eczema through wellness practices. This journey led me to experiment with botanical oils and skincare formulations, in 2021, then culminating in the creation of our Nourishing Lipstick in 2022. With years of research and a deep understanding of holistic health, I officially launched Pure Light Botanical Beauty in October 2023.

Today, we continue to expand our line of clean, eco-friendly cosmetics while offering beauty, wellness, and lifestyle coaching. Our goal is to help women adopt a holistic approach to health and enhance their natural beauty, as true beauty begins from within.
